Brokenness Isn't That Bad
If I were to say, brokenness isn’t that bad, what would you say? Probably something like “Ok, so what is the good in brokenness?”
When we are smack-dab in the middle of a crisis and left lying flat on our backs, there’s no place to go, except UP. From this posture, our perception changes and earnest prayer begins. Even though God knows what we are facing and in fact, knows what the outcome will be, He will never impose Himself on His children. Brokenness draws us to Him.
We can touch the heart of God when we are on our knees. Nothing will compare to the work done from our knees. God wants us completely reliant on Him, alone. Brokenness uniquely positions us right where He wants us, in heart-to-heart fellowship. I’m a firm believer in knowing that we are at our best when in a state of brokenness because that’s the moment where God is made evident.
In summary, brokenness isn’t that bad because we get to communicate with God, our Creator. The One who is willing and able to “fix” our brokenness and heal our wounds is waiting for us to go to Him. Will you go to God today and trust Him with your brokenness? Will you allow the One who designed you to make you whole again?
Ephesians 3:20-21 Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory by Christ Jesus forever and ever.
Psalm 34:18 The LORD is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.
