DE-STRESS

I was feeling really stressed out one morning.
 

So I decided to get out of the house and find somewhere where I could be alone with my husband, Tim.  We needed to talk and pray about things, and just figure out what was causing the stress and how to better deal with it.  How could we de-stress?

 

There are so many healthy ways to unwind and de-stress. My go-to winning combo is talking to a trusted friend in a peaceful setting.  My husband and I walk 5 miles several days each week, and that seems to give us peace and energy in the middle of our stressful days. 

 

That day definitely helped as we walked and talked with each other.  We prayed together and asked God to show us the path to take.  It was a beautiful day that the Lord gave us, and we were bound and determined to praise Him in it!

 

When we got back together at the end of the day, we both noticed how our day changed for the good just because we honestly and deliberately asked God for His help. 

 

When you are stressed out, find someone to talk to.  If you bottle it up inside, it’s not going to get you feeling any better. 

 

Pray and ask God to give you peace in the middle of your stress.  See the beauty around you, and don’t forget to praise Him while you de-stress.

 

Psalm 118:24

This is the day the Lord has made; We will rejoice and be glad in it.
